Śraddhātrayavibhāga Yoga · śloka 22
adeśakāle yaddānamapātrebhyaśca dīyate |
asatkṛtamavajñātaṃ tattāmasamudāhṛtam ||17-22||
That charity which is given without respect, or with contempt, at an improper place and time, to unworthy recipients—that charity is considered Tamasic.
